During 1981, our company founder, Albert M. McCormack started a real estate practice on Edisto Island, commuting from his office and home in Charleston until 1984 when an island office was established and franchised as Century 21 Sea Island Realty. The practice founded upon the principle of unfailing service to it's clients and customers grew and expanded into much larger offices near Edisto Beach in 1987. Continuing it's successes, in 1994, we affiliated with Coldwell Banker Real Estate System and shortly thereafter relocated to our present offices at 134 Jungle Road, Edisto Beach.
Although our offices are in the active beach resort area, we continue a strong bond and knowledge of the historic properties located on the island. Sales in 1999 qualify us to claim the title as the local real estate broker to have sold the highest number of plantations in the area.
Our choice to affiliate with America's Premier Real Estate Sales System has resulted in untold benefits. As members of a strong referral system, we are able to find buyers before our competitors thereby closing sales faster. The Coldwell Banker System also keeps us abreast of national and state wide real estate trends. We are members of our Island local listing service and enjoy membership in the Charleston Trident County Realtors MLS.
